We have started to release tons of source codes to the community. Am I taking the right decision? Time will tell …..

I have started to use a Dell Vostro 1510 laptop (added 2GB of RAM module and 350GB SATA HDD) for my work. The best part of the deal was, it came with FreeDos ( no Micro$oft tax ) and I have loaded my respin of Kubuntu 9.04. Though most of the peripherals work out-of-box, sometimes the keyboard and trackpad get freezed. To get rid of this problem, I had to add “i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop” to the kernel command-line. It has got good battery life also. In an average, it works for 4 hours without charging.

Hmmm …. I have started to like Dell laptops more … compared to my HP laptops!!

for i in *.wma ; do mplayer -vo null -vc dummy -af resample=44100 -ao pcm:waveheader "$i" && lame -m j -h --vbr-new -b 160 audiodump.wav -o "`basename "$i" .wma`.mp3"; done; rm -f audiodump.wav

Opera does not provide QT4 Linux build (9.51 release) from it’s download page. Here is the link from where, it can be downloaded.

Here is the Linux patch to get Opera working with your QT4 native style.

My interview on Embinux got published in CIOL. Interestingly, it’s the most viewed article of the day!

Thanks Amitabh, Deepak for making it happen.
